As an attorney with Elliott & Davis, Kate dedicates her practice to family law. Kate handles all aspects of family law at the trial and appellate levels including prenuptial agreements, divorce, equitable distribution, child custody, simple and complex support matters, and protection from abuse (PFA) matters. Although located in Allegheny County, Kate’s practice extends to Armstrong County, Beaver County, Butler County, Fayette County, Lawrence County, Mercer County, Washington County and Westmoreland County.
Kate received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Allegheny College in 2002 and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law in May 2005.
While in law school, Kate was a law clerk for the Honorable Lawrence W. Kaplan. Kate was also a Certified Legal Intern for the University of Pittsburgh School of Law’s Family Law Clinic, where she represented indigent clients in child custody, paternity and support actions. Kate also received training in mediation and acted as a mediator for custody disputes. In 2004, Kate was a finalist in the University of Pittsburgh School of Law Appellate Moot Court Competition. For Spring 2005, Kate received the CALI award for Pennsylvania Practice.
